I'd like to greet December month with something snowy (something I rarely make). This image is based on a reference photo of Antarctica's Mount Erebus volcano: [link] - I just wanted to make the background more "dramatic" with steeper slopes and some fog that looks like snow in the wind. The terrain I used here is Lachrimae from D&D Creations' Eroded Lands pack :)

Vue 10 Infinite

Thanks for viewing! :)

Great composition and atmo. It looks really cold. Maybe a little bit more bluish type icy terrain? Not sure. I am a bit out of the loop atm.

Far out! 57 Minutes? I've got to get Vue 10! Looks amazing. Great job.

Very good reproduction of the volcano!
I'm not so sure about the scales here as in the reference the volcano is much much smaller.
The volcano cloud is pretty good, pity Vue can't render them better and always makes them look puffy and noisy. Something you can't really help I think.
I like the fog and atmosphere in this image as well.
Nice work, as usual, looking forward to the next one!

Maybe it's a nice idea to do a West-US scene in the desert and use the new spline tool for the roads?
Like snow you don't have many of these type of images, so I think it's a nice challenge :)

Cheers,
Martin

What's the rendering times averages for such landscape in this quality?
