Floating Lanternsby ~00AngelicDevil00

Digital Art / 3-Dimensional Art / Scenes / Landscapes

I got pretty inspired by this Year of the Dragon theme going on, and - after coming across some great photos of lanterns floating on waters - I wanted to make a serene scene with floating lanterns. ....but I couldn't find any models, so I decided to model some...in Vue only!

I quickly made the textures in PS, then modelled 3 types of lanterns in Vue.....it's a popular statement that you cannot make any models in Vue, but - though they might not be the highest quality models - it's not impossible

some trivia

: 112 lights, SSS on all canvases, 3h45min render time.

Vue 10 Infinite; minor post in PS CS5
