Some artists said that Vue's volumetric clouds could be transformed into good-looking, realistic clouds. I thought it was time to give it a try and see if they were right....and yes, they were right! =D I haven't really used volumetric clouds, but from now on I'm sure I'll use them more often.
A somewhat increased Aerial perspective helped me get this low but very thick fog, and with a little postwork in Photoshop, I made the scene more fairytale-like...at least I tried to XD

Thanks for viewing! :)

A very beutiful and tranquil scene indeed! Regarding your points about the realism of the clouds, I think that Vue 7 does a good job. However I find that volumetric clouds are easier to make in Terragen 2D and very realistic indeed. That may be because I've only just started learning to use Vue. J. :)

yeah, even Vue 6 did a great job regarding the atmospheres, but Vue 7's improvements on clouds and effects are awesome :D. I have Terragen v0.9 (unregistered :D), but I'm not satisfied with the render quality :(
though I've seen some works rendered in Terragen 2 and it's much better

Interesting!I found Terragen 0.9 very unrealistic cumbersome. I have 2D and am very impressed with landscape generator as well as the cloud renders; it has a sharpness that I've yet to realise in Vue, though I reckon that I'm close. Vue has a much more friendly GUI and T2D's and Tv0.9's are poorly designed! On my wish list is that future versions of TG2D permit the export of landscapes for use in other 3D programmes, assuming that there micro-polygon system is compatible. J. :)
