Not even here in BC do we have trees that look like that.
If you ever see shots of BC you will find allot of logging with in our greenery.
Very nice picture.
I like everything actually, beside some quality-settings things.
From foreground to background it looks quite clean and nicely lit, but the background clouds are really low quality rendered imho.
It's a pity Vue renders are fast in overall but getting real clean noise-less atmosphere and clouds will make rendertime go through the roof when compared with Terragen 2.
A mistake I often see made here at DA and CGSociety is that Vue users (and sometime TG users as well) often notify visitors about polygon-counts. Those huge numbers are all nice and well, but pretty meaning-less!
Be aware that the renderer reduces the polygon count massively while rendering, to make it speedy and memory-inexpensive.
Well, anyhow, that's not exactly related to your work, but just something to think about more critically.
Keep up the great work
Cheers,
Martin
Yeah you're not the first one who mentions my lower quality settings either on this work or some other ones; yeah here I used Vue's default -1, while to avoid noise, a +2 is needed. Now my render time was 8,5 hours, that way it would have been at least 16. Ohh, and I even reduced noise in PS.
It's an interesting fact about polygons; this is the first time I hear this, though I've heard the opposite from other experts in the field, so now I'm confused
But thanks for this info!
