Now that Vue 8.4 beta is officially out, I'd like to share my first render in it

Much faster, handles system resources way better, much more stable....in short, a great improvement after Vue 8.1.
I wanted to add some more color to this scene (and I'm kinda bored of this winter weather

), so I added some scent of spring to this pic

Rendered in less than 4 hours and fairly high custom render settings (for more info, ask *iMUDa1

), with 5% texture filtering.
Minor postwork in PS CS4

This is very good. are you using infinite? I ask because I'm using Vue 8.4 studio... and I have noticed that if I do some complex landscapes, my render times (for even something as small as 1800x1333 or something) will be days. yeah days for a still image. I'm thinking it may be because I can't 'bake' the landscape (i guess you get that ability at 'infinite.') Just curious. Anyway, your work is excellent. I love this shot.
